Before consuming, soak the cheese in cold water for 24 hours, changing the water at least twice. Enjoy it fresh with olive oil and za’atar, fried until golden, or stuffed in pastries like sambousek and fatayer.

Keep away from direct sunlight. Store in a cool, dry place below 20°C. After opening, transfer to sealed jars with brine or freezer-safe bags. In the fridge, store in its original saltwater solution if available.
